| The company had operated under the name of “The Productive Industrial Factory” since April 1971, under Iicense #2802 in result of the expansion of our corporation the name changed to Al-Mahara Company Ltd. established in 1984 by Mr. Muhammed Askr Hamoudi and his family to become a''family company'' as its board members consist of this family.
Al-Mahara is specialized in metal industries, manufacturing various types of molds for all metal industry purposes, rollers, shearing machines for sheet metals, bending and forming presses with different capacities, many types of mechanical knives, tools and manual instruments, car spare parts and modifying different molds and machines. In addition we also have heat treatment department that embraces fine electrical furnaces.
To satisfy and meet the production means of the local market, we encompassed a variety of different machines.

In progress of the company's enlargement, the amount of work and number of workers increased to achieve and fulfill the necessities of the demanding markets in the region. Consequently, the capital emended and turned to 70,000.00 ID, which is equal to 232,000.00 US dollars. And now the company's capital rose to 210,000.00 ID (697,000.00 US dollars).
Due to the war occurrence in Iraq, the country's economy and industry stagnated. Al-Mahara prepared some future planning to mount the country's economy for developing a new Iraq.

Our company took part in the first national industry fair at Baghdad International Fair, and received many appreciation documents and certificates for its good exhibition.
